This is a collection of paintings about a journey to morocco in winter 2022/23.  above is a photo of my research vehicle and home.  I collect memories, photographs, drawings and ink studies whilst travelling which all provide the bones of the paintings I make later in the studio. below is a selection of these ink studies. This series is mainly based on the Tafraoute zone where I found myself surrounded by beautiful light, new shapes, unusual people and  red granite and quartz mountains. when it is complete, I would like to show this series with a new gallery I haven't worked with before so please get in touch if you are interested.
